High Productivity, Image Quality and Performance plus
improved Environmental
Standard.

Designed for colour-intensive workgroups, the e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c series offers similar running costs, performance and the same functionality as black and white multifunction systems, with a minimum hardware price premium.

The e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c MFD’s are compact and powerful full-colour devices for users who demand high productivity and outstanding image quality. These devices can be used as a fully functional colour copier and as a shared network resource for very cost effective printing and scanning.

Performance and Image Quality for Demanding Users
and the Environment

With a sub 90-second warm-up time for two models and just 160 seconds for the high speed eS4520c, the new series has been engineered to meet strict environmental standards while still delivering impressive performance. Low power consumption design enables the range to achieve Energy Star compliance while Toshiba’s global manufacturing standards ensure minimum impact on the environment at every stage of construction and operation. Infact, no RoHS designated substances are used in the construction of the range. Additionally, use of recyclable materials is also being promoted to further reduce the “environmental footprint”.

With a (First Copy Out Time) of just 8.4 seconds, the e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c series makes no compromises when it comes to performance. The e-STUDIO2820c offers an output speed of 28 colour/28 mono pages per minute (ppm); the e-STUDIO3520c delivers 35 colour/35 mono ppm, while the e-STUDIO4520c boasts 45 ppm in full colour and 45 ppm in monochrome.

Image quality also takes center stage with true 600 x 600 dpi (8 bit) output in colour and black and white. Demonstrating Toshiba’s Global resource policy, the revolutionary e-Bridge controller Raster Image Processor (RIP) for the devices was developed in Sydney by Toshiba Australia’s R&D division.

Additionally, for dedicated design and print professionals the latest Fiery¨ technology is available as an option. Toshiba has included an impressive list of proprietary technologies enhancing colour and image quality. These include:

Intermediate Transfer Belt Colour Processing Unit
The e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c adopts a new intermediate transfer belt system, which is independent of paper movement. This provides better colour registration, improves alignment of motors and drum rotation accuracy. This delivers a huge improvement in print output quality.

New Toshiba “Hi Image”, Micron 6.8 Toner
Toshiba has introduced new low temperature fusing colour toner with smaller (6.8 micron) particles. The new toner ensures excellent, smooth reproduction of photos and halftones, with superb colour fidelity and quality.

Unsurpassed Image Quality – e-FINE Image Processing Engine
This Toshiba technology dramatically improves contrast and colour discrimination even for text on colour. Edge clarity and difficult images are automatically managed within e-FINE. While Text, Graphics and Line Art, can be faithfully reproduced by the e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c. e-FINE Output quality means sharp, accurate text and vibrant colours.

Robust Paper Handling and Finishing Capabilities
With superior paper handling features such as the ability to print A3 with full-bleed, automatic trayless duplexing and a saddle stitch stapling finisher, the e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c series can handle the most demanding jobs in any office. Standard paper supply is two 550-sheet universal cassettes that can be augmented with two additional 550-sheet cassettes or one 2,500sheet tandem large capacity feeder. With the inclusion of a 100-sheet bypass, the eSTUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c series has a maximum paper capacity of 3,700 sheets with up to five different paper sources.

The e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c series is also designed to support the most versatile colour media requirements. Each paper cassette and the trayless automatic duplex unit support up to 256gsm paper. The Stack Feed bypass can handle oversize A3 (320x460mm) plus BANNER sheet (305x1200mm).

All-in-One Net-Ready Architecture and the Latest 3rd Generation
e-BRIDGE Technology
Incorporating Toshiba’s proven e-BRIDGE technology, Toshiba has built networking capabilities into the core design of the e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c series, delivering an out of the box copy, print, scan and solution-ready device. Toshiba’s e-Bridge supports communication and integration of Toshiba MFDs seamlessly into many existing business document workflows and IT infrastructures. It integrates copy, print, scan, fax and other networking capabilities in one single board within the device. This unified design shares system resources to control multiple functions and efficiently process information.

Solid Security Features
Recognising the importance of protecting confidential company and customer data, Toshiba has included a comprehensive set of security features on the e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c series. Standard IEEE802.1X provides safe LAN user authentication. IPSec protocol which prevents data being viewed or tampered with, is the communication path when using an application that does not support encryption. SNMPv3 protocol provides increased security for SNMP packets. IP/MAC address filtering prevents illegal access while Role Based Access Control (RBAC) has been enhanced allowing controlled access to devices and functionality.

Combined with Secure PDF 128-bit encryption scanned documents can easily be protected from tampering. Furthermore, an optional Disk Data Overwrite Kit completely overwrites all temporary information on the hard drive after every job. In addition, the disk is automatically cleared immediately after the device is done using the information after every job, preventing the data from being recovered by unauthorised users.

Other security features offered by the e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c series include Private Print, requiring users to input a password to initiate their printout, and Job Log, tracking print, copy, fax, and scan jobs with detailed information including user, date, time, number of pages, type of paper, and type of job.

Exceptional Ease of Use
The User Interface (as always) has retained the renowned Toshiba “Human Centric” design elements of Simplicity and Practicality. Full Colour 8.5” WVGA touch panel plus MENU Key provides instant user access to a myriad of sophisticated features.

Toshiba’s Easy Replaceable Unit (ERU) service design allows fast turn around of major service procedures reducing the downtime and reducing the total cost of ownership
