Garth Huston
Managing Director
After gaining a degree from Canterbury University, Garth’s first job was selling photocopiers for 3M in the late 1960’s. He started BDL in 1973 and has managed the company through many economic cycles and the various changes in the industry - from the advent of the analogue plain paper copier though to the full colour multifunction digital machines we use today.
Ben Huston
Toshiba Dealer Principal
Ben joined BDL in 1999 and started delivering copiers then moved into sales in 2002. Since 2004 he has been managing the sales and service teams. Ben’s role includes day to day liaison with Toshiba, working with major customer accounts and overseeing all components of the sales and service departments and branch offices.
Penny Huston
Administration Manager
Penny first began working at BDL after graduating from Canterbury University in the early 90’s, leaving to work in Corporate Banking in NZ and London. She re-joined BDL in 2009 as Service Controller and then moved to the role of Administration Manager in 2013. Penny is in charge of the admin team and all financial aspects of the company.
Daryl Hancox
National Sales Manager
Daryl joined BDL in 1996 as an Account Manager and moved into role of Sales Manager in 2004. Daryl is responsible for sales at all of the branches offices and spends a lot of time traveling between the locations supporting the sales teams to reach their targets.
Bill Bird
Technical Manager
Bill started as a copier technician in 1986 and joined BDL in 1996 as a field technician. He became Technical Manager in 2001. Bill is the technical contact with Toshiba and supports the field technicians with ongoing product support and training as well as customers using print and document management software.
Scott Hinman
Connectivity Specialist
Scott started at BDL in 2000 as field service technician and moved into the IT field in 2007 installing multifunction machines onto customer’s networks. Scott manages the installation for customers and liaises with their IT providers to make the process as seamless as possible. He is also responsible for integration of print management software and solutions.
Greg Mannering
Account Manager- Christchurch
Greg started at BDL in 2012 and is a senior member of the sales team. Greg's focus is on managing existing customers needs as well as working with new businesses to keep them up to date with the latest technology available to maximise productivity.
